With a background in Technical Medicine, I am passionate about using technological advancements to solve clinical problems and improve patient care within the field of Orthopedic Surgery. I am also working in the department of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine.

My research focusses on the role of biomechanics in the onset and progression of osteoarthritis, specifically of the knee joint. Currently, we're developing a state-of-the-art biomechanics-lab with which we can more accurately do biomechanical measurements. By combining these measurements with advanced PET-MR imaging and developing individualized biomechanical models, our goal is to study specific load patterns on both joint- and tissue-level and discover new biomarkers for progression of osteoarthritis.
