M. (Max) Reijman PhD

Introduction 

As head of clinical research of our department and associate professor I am responsible for the ongoing of the research projects in all facets. I’m supervising several Phd students. Together with our research management team we are responsible for the research strategy of the department. 

Fields of expertise

I have extensive experience as project leader and supervisor of several large multi-center RCTs, large cohort studies, diagnostic studies and systematic reviews. Together with mine clinical colleagues we successfully supervised several nationwide cost-effectiveness studies, which were prioritized on the scientific agenda of the Dutch Orthopaedic Association (NOV).

  • PhD Erasmus MC, December 2004, title of thesis “Determinants of progression of hip osteoarthritis”, supervisors: prof.dr. J.M.W. Hazes, prof.dr. B.W. Koes, dr. S.M.A. Bierma-Zeinstra.
