R. A. (Renee) Van Stralen-Bosboom

Introduction

I am a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Erasmus MC – Sophia Children’s Hospital with a special focus on neuromuscular pediatric orthopedic surgery. 

Education and career

After medical school in Amsterdam, I did my orthopedic training in Nijmegen and Arnhem. After completing my orthopaedic training, I did my fellowships in pediatric orthopedics at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne and at the ErasmusMC, Sophia Children's hospital. After my fellowship here, I started as a consultant in 2019. The focus of my clinical work is mainly on neuromuscular pediatric orthopedics. 

Research focus

At the moment, my research activities are focused on hip migration in children with Cerebral Palsy.
