I have a background in medicine and completed my bachelor's degree in Rotterdam. During my master's, I conducted my research project within the Hand-Wrist Study Group, where my enthusiasm for scientific research was sparked. I am therefore highly motivated to further develop this interest within my PhD research. After that, I will start my clinical rotations and thereby finish my Master's in Medicine.

Work Experience (positions and organizations): Clinical research on patient-centred and value-based healthcare, with a focus on the Patient-Specific Needs Evaluation (PSN). The PSN is a short questionnaire completed before consultation that captures a patient's information needs, treatment goals, and personal threshold for treatment success, and evaluates whether this threshold is reached after treatment. Experience includes adapting, validating, and implementing the PSN across orthopaedic, breast reconstruction, and stroke rehabilitation populations, including reliability and validity testing, comparisons with existing outcome thresholds such as the MIC and PASS, and international collaboration on cross-cultural validation and adaptation for new patient populations.
